Yeah, mostly I think. The character designs are neat. If you're a whiny little bitch of a faggot zoomer the characters are also probably pretty relatable since they're also whiny little bitches.
Personally I think the show has some fun moments and the premise has potential to enable fun moments, but the creators seem to want to avoid having too much fun and instead focus on characters whining about nothing. Every episode has the cast going on an adventure of some sort, but this last episode is the only one so far to not completely skip over the adventure in favor of characters whining.

The recent episode showed a huge problem with this series. The focus on characterization blatantly affects character dynamics. Now we know Jax can't find neutral ground with anyone because he broke the fourth wall to explain in detail how he's a sociopath villain bastard. He was looking at YOU the viewer while he said his rant. Now the character is locked into being a villain until the final three episodes air. Shame really wanted him being kind of a jerk type episodes but not full blown villain. No amount of coping "But he's lying about he being mean!" Even the creator said Jax was nasty even before he got trapped in the circus.

Ragatha slightly (Although unconfirmed) glitched when she genuinely apologized to Jax.

I've got a new crack theory. Every time there's an abstraction, that's when someone new pops in. They're the direct replacements for the archtypes as needed. The various hints about shared experiences IRL aren't clues to what happened to everyone, the twist is that they're all the same person locked into the simulation in a weird split-personality scenario. The biggest actual knock against anon's theory is that if there was a pattern of "New Character in Old Character out" I think the residents would have caught on to it pretty quick and would have assumed the worst the moment Pomni popped into existence (especially with Kaufmo going MIA).

Honestly I'm thinking the show has a decent enough middle ground when it comes to the talking scenes vs forced drama, they don't fall into pitfalls like "character falls for facade of not caring and gets depressed thinking their friend doesn't like them" and yeah, most things could be resolved by just talking, though that also would mean the show would end pretty quick and be one long session of group therapy. The cutoffs of deep conversations can be weird but they seem to at least be trying to have them make sense instead of relying on shitty tropes or not acknowledging them at all until the second before people become friends again

At the current rate, none of the characters are being pushed to their limits as they're instead finding connection with each other that wasn't previously there since they're actually talking to each other now. If any character is going to have a meltdown of any form, it'll be either Cain or Jax due to the status quo no longer being sufficient, the plot is advancing somewhat beyond just an episodic slice of life that they are conditioned for.

Kinger and Pomni's ending in episode 3 was well done. And "Your New Home" was a good song.
The rest is mostly just whiplash of emotional therapy and passing the ball of who is most unlikeable.

And yes, obviously the show is one giant allegory for the mental illnesses of people like trannies, gays, sociopaths, weebs, and other freaks. Pomni is the straight man to show how obnoxious and fatiguing these people are to the normal world. The "circus" is a stand-in for "life" because the slightest hardship makes these people freak out and feel trapped in some gay oppressed purgatory. Abstraction is succumbing to their own self-made hardships. Being locked in the cellar is being shunned by a society that is sick of dealing with their destructive nature.
The whole show is a little too on the nose most of the time. But again, the morbid curiosity in me has to see how they drop the ball for the ending.
