Genuinely thought that as well and honestly I think it would've been the best response to jax trying to get her to shoot him. He was desperate to have her be as apathetic as he tries to be, shooting him means he was betrayed, his friend wasn't his friend and he can stop thinking about him and pomni being a good team. But if she throws and shoots herself for him that would basically force him to think about how she cared enough to do that. He'd have to think how he won with her help and maybe even give him a flash of that fear he had of losing another friend.
