I'm busy doing server maintenance for my wage slave job for the next few hours, but I'm going to try this build later with the following rationale:
>Medium unflinching Armor
Provide an acceptable level of mobility with an slightly enhanced level of survivability, plus the radar pings to help provide advance warning about patrols and scout the map for stalker nests.
>Xbow
general mobbing, close holes, and force diggers to surface.
>Talon
I need something agile and non-explosive to deal with enemies that get near melee range
>thermite
I'd LIKE to bring incendiaries, but I feel that I'll need a backup anti-heavy option in my pocket.
Strat:
>AC Mech
Concentrate fire on the hive lord to break one of the armor plates. Also has utility charging into heavy nests/spore lung chambers.
>HMG
Its purpose is to magdump the lord's exposed flesh at maximum ROF. Try to avoid fully emptying the mag so that you can combat reload rather than needing to rack the charging handle. Can provide light AT work, but it's subpar at that job and is the reason that I'm running thermite. If it weren't for the lord, I'd prefer a quasar and incendiary grenades. Napkin math says one HMG magazine is ~10% of the lord's HP.
>Supply pack
Feeds everything. If need be, once the inner flesh is exposed, you should be able to carry WAY more than your fair share of the lord's HP via consecutive HMG magdumps
>Eagle Strafing running
Big damage to the hive lord. You'll use a mix of this while waiting for the mech to be delivered, and also you'll call it in before unloading the HMG.
On its surface, the weakpoints of the build are slightly bellow average ability to deal with massed heavies. It also doesn't have a means to directly close BT holes, so you'll need to bait a charger or BT to close it for you. It may be prudent to leave strafing at home and bring portable hellbomb for deployment prior to pushing the heavy nest.
