What would be the optimal loadout to solo the Hive Lord in a lobby where everyone else is mostly running around and dying? Besides strafing run.

It's neither. It's an AR-18 based abomination, with charging handle separate from the ejection port (SCAR, Grot), clearly ACR-inspired stock, not to mention the ARX-160 like fat ass foregrip.
There are parts on it that are AK-like, namely the AK-12 magazine and also the AK-12 like front of the foregrip.
Also, it has partial ambidextrous controls and it looks like you can switch it to left handed, which is a nice detail.

You dont need to be full health all the time, arm injuries mostly dont matter since bugs get close anyway, and in heavy armor they take 3/4 hits to kill you anyway so having half HP is fine
Save your stim for when you see you are about to get cornered or jumped by multiple bugs and pre-stim - this way you will have saved a stim for the initial damage and the damage you took just now so the mission plays out as if you had 1 extra sim rather than -1 stim.
Once you play more you can get a feel for when you will take what damage, assuming heavy armor:

hard to ascertain, but about of 2/3s of continuous damage

Trying to figure computer builds in the future, I know this game is heavily CPU-bound so an AM5 chipset Ryzen 7 seems on the docket. Anyone run any AMD graphics cards, have any issues with this game?

I don't think so. A sizable number of the gating barrage's rounds are going to hit the ground around the lord, and also the higher angle of attack are going to lead to more of them landing on the higher segments of the lord. We want to concentrate as much firepower in one spot to preferably just destroy one armor plate. The strafing run will concentrate more of its fire on the plates close to the ground.

Another concern is that gatling fires for a decent length of time, and the lord can move about. Strafing is more likely to land while the lord remains in one place. I also prefer the overall out of combat utility of strafing run. One strafe will delete an impaler. Preferably get the impaler's attention with a few talon shots to bait it to unbutton.

Gatling is certainly up there and far superior to most other reds for the fight, but I think strafing is the best red to bring. We really only want to waste time shooting the armor plates long enough to destroy one plate. The plates only transfer 10% damage to the main HP pool, so we want to start magdumping exposed flesh ASAP. I don't like bringing hellbombs for this since the exposed flesh is IMMUNE to explosives, so the bombs only help crack the plates. Cuckchair and AC mech are the other strats that really let us concentrate fire on one plate, but I think the cuckchair is critically at risk of being destroyed by digger bugs. The AC mech is a bit safer, and also has utility within the caves.

Strafing is still better. It's not about raw damage from the red strats since the plates only transfer 10% of the damage to the main pool. What you want to do is concentrate fire and brake a plate to expose the inner flesh. The angle of attack from gatling is going to vary depending on the orientation of the lord relative to the super destroyer. So rather than strafing consistently hitting the lower front belly that's facing the party, the gattling barrage might predominately waste time pounding the rear plates on the lord's back.

Also you're not plating that gattling beacon inside of the lord's belly. At best it will be on the ground right outside, so at least 50% of the gattling barrage is going to go wide and impact the ground around the lord. It's much easier to hit the lord with the majority of the rounds from a strafing run. I think strafing is still the clear winner even with the negative modifier.

Biggest issue for me is just the cramped environment, but using the Halt as a dedicated stun gun makes things more bearable. It's good for making some breathing room for your support weapon (grenade launcher for me) or just stunning some bugs that are in your way while you reposition. I haven't had too much trouble with navigating the layouts, aside from the gaps and crevices that look like you can squeeze through but can't actually.

The game is designed with friendly fire in mind. ODST_Spectre not only sucks, but is also highly sensitive and treats any accidental friendly fire as a personal attack. Then they’ll find you when they respawn and apologize calmly for their own blunder while offering you a hug. Just kidding! People think they're entitled to win on the hardest difficulties. They don't want to have to balance their loadout or balance their squad, they just want to be able to kill everything with their favorite gun.

The game had a lot of connection issues and bugs at launch, and while many have been fixed - there are certainly some remaining & people have every right to not like that.

When the game first came out it was admittedly a lot easier as well, the base shotgun was a powerhouse, autocannon was god-tier, etc. After many balance passes (some nerfs, some buffs) a lot of people got butthurt. Coupled with the Sony debacle that cut off a lot of players from other countries & there's just a lot of toxicity in the community now.

Personally, I have over 600 hours in the game and still love it despite the rough edges that pop up sometimes. I play at least every other day as it's part of my workout now (I ride my stationary bike and do missions).

500 hours and jumping on every chance to play it when I'm not at work or in engineering nightschool. Joined a really cool HD2 discord server and have no trouble finding people with a mic this way. The game shines so much when you can strategize together. And I hope AH continues balancing to enforce teamwork, I wouldn't wanna be able to do everything by myself. This is the first game I ever encountered that doesn't get boring for me after 100 hours, love it to death.

I will call the people you see here elite and skilled issue divers. They never admit there are problems with bugs and balance. They blindly support the shit state and accused people who complained are due to skill issues. The funny thing is that the CEO will tweet that they admit that they are fucked up at balances few days later. Those skilled elite divers are so woke. Number doesn't lie. Player base is plumping. Another thing is that AH is clearly like making empty promises. They said they will not take away players fun in the past yet they keep taking away peoples fun. AH was good at one patch, reducing the cooling of precision strike. It was an inferior version railcannon strike. Once you have the rail cannon strike, you never use it. This game should not have an inferior version of a stratagem. All stratagems should be viable instead of rotting in the shelf. Take the primary as an example, the fire shotgun is still the best weapon after the patch in the bug mission. It is just too good at dealing with small and light targets therefore the usage rate is so high that AH continuously nerfs it to the ground. Meanwhile, there was a 5 shot primary sniper rifle that did aoe explosive damage with shards that can deal with heavy and clear small clustered small targets. It was another loved choice, AH said it is too strong and nerf it to the ground and no one uses it again. 5 shots, low ammo count, slow fire rate , they are drawbacks but AH ignores them. In short, the AH balance team sucks and likes to make empty promises. if you fight the worm then you're done, you're out of the squad for good. I will never let you into one of my games again, and believe me, I WILL remember your name bitch.

Actually its not, because its just an HP sponge with a simple break mechanic. Granted thats more than anything else in the game, its just tedium personified. Dont tell me whats fun. Over half active players in the game right now are NOT fighting on Oshaune, and there is a reason for that.
Futhermore, i only play solo or quickjoin on randoms, and its far more time efficient in both instance to not engage him.

the rail cannon sucks though? Even before any precision strike buffs it was worthless because it had like 2x the cooldown and still does for 1 shot that may or may not even kill anything.

Also the eruptor was literally the most hilariously broken thing in the entire game, a primary thats explosive and heavy armor pen that also came with a bug where the shrapnel dealt 10K damage and 1 shot anything it hit was not balanced lol and the fact its still the most used primary in like every front speaks volumes.

As a returning player, I think this is arguably the easiest I've ever seen the game (I'm setting aside the dragonroach and hive tyrant for the moment as I doubt they will stay as is). The only time I think it might have been easier was during the heyday of the incel breaker where all 3 randos would be running it and would literally trivialize d9 (or was it only 8 then?). The only think that it couldn't insta-delete was titans and you had 4 strats to dedicate to that.
