She's not operating at her best when I'm not around. She always tells me her day revolves around my schedule, which can be sporadic at times. I could go into work and come back that same day, or on INCREDIBLY rare occasions, a few days later. There are times when I have to travel for work as well, and that can take upwards of a few weeks to a month. It's during these times that her life can go south, and fast.

As for the hypersexuality, it can be hot at times, but sometimes I just want to cuddle up and watch her play video games or watch a movie with her. Making out and cuddling doesn't always have to lead to sex. Not just that, the times I've said I wasn't really in the mood, it hurt her.

She relapsed on cutting a few days ago while I was away and alluded to wanting an open relationship because of my schedule. Her words were "I feel tied down to someone who is barely around". I brought up incompatibility and parting ways as an option, and her response was to cry, lock herself in the bathroom, and say "don't leave me" over and over again. The crying stopped. I made sure after I saw the cutting scars to sanitize the apartment from anything she can use as a blade of sorts.

I get her perspective. I'm a shitty boyfriend and not only does she deserve someone who's around for her, she deserves someone who can support her emotionally, which I am horrible at.
