I bought low-fat sour cream recently cause I'm trying to watch my weight, and it's nasty. completely different texture to regular sour cream and tastes really off. “Low fat” foods are usually pumped full of sugar so they taste less like ass.
Just eat the full fat in moderation, or better yet, just use plain yoghurt. It can sub for sour cream in 99% of recipes.
