b) each side has to be diametrically opposed to the other side on any given issue, even if they previously were in favor of it

So it's like a constant schizo game of trying to outdo the other side to capture the attention of the masses. Consequently they both keep flipping their stance on any given issue.
And the speed of this is increasing constantly. It all started with Gaza when suddenly all the leftist protestors found themselves on the opposite side of the jewish intelligentsia and then everything went haywire.

It's a lot worse than that. If you can control hormones you can actually control nuerotransmitters too. Not only could you make someone orgasm to death, you also put them through an extremely powerfull psychedelic episode. You could make someone go through DMT trip as real as reality itself while putting his sensory nervous system into so such an intense overdrive that he gets waves of fullbody orgasms. You could also completely destroy hormone production and stop neurotransmitter activity completely, making someone die the sameway you would by being exposed to class-A nerve agents. You could completely rewire a man's nervous system or forever alter his conciousness to your liking, cure depression, give someone anxiety, help your coworker get over their period or make anyone around you go into psychosis or even maybe kill half a city block.
