Seems that at one point you could just pick the ethnicity and gender of your character. Everyone wouldve liked this, thats why they didnt do it, EA is like some devil contract shit where if sometong is good, it also has to shit the bed in some aspect, major or minor, and makes you scratch your head as to why they made the game worse on purpose.

Apparently you can. Theres also cosmetic unlocks in the beta that will be given in the full game which at least confirms that youll be able to change skins. Pic shows recon isnt black and the engineer isnt a chinese woman in the datamine, this apparently shows all the unique parts you can use between 2 factions.

It also showed that helmets are a seperate item from the bodies but we dont know if that means you can change them like its a cosmetic slot, should be noted that you cant remove masks, they are part of the helmet you pick.
