When I was just getting into guns I thought Glocks were ugly, boring, dangerous (per lack of manual safety) and overall just lame. Now as I’ve gotten older, had more experience and learned more I realize Glocks are actually pretty sweet. They’re utilitarian, reliable, actually extremely safe, easy to use and modular as hell. I have 3 Glocks, a first production 19 Gen 5 that I carried for a few years, a 19 Gen 5 MOS that I replaced my old Glock with and a 43x MOS that I just bought as my “summer carry”.
