I know you haven't settled on anything yet but you'll want to know which cohort your bringing at least, its important for list building.

Give all the command russes Flare shields. Flareshielded AV14 might as well be AV15 in 3.0, you're basically immune to S8 anti tank which includes a lot of melta guns and you're also practically immune to lascannons and other S9 anti tank too.

Only real threats to you then are things like demolishers or laser destroyers and you REALLY want your command tanks alive as long as possible.

Replace the battlecanon russes with battlecannon Malcadors, 40 extra points gets you 7 HP instead of 6 which is huge when most anti tank is D2, D3 or D6. It essentially means you survive an extra penetrating hit against most things.

In addition to this you get 2 extra multilasers and all your weapons can fire at different targets, meaning you can suppress 3 different infantry units in addition to pinning one with the battlecannon.

Take Hunterkillers on anything you plan to shoot at a tank, take 2 on each draco and 1 on every Annihilator or Vanquisher russ.

Macro Sakers are kinda bad now, take the executioner instead if you want an assault russ, its one of the only plasma guns that got better in 3.0 instead of worse.

Hermes Sentinels of any type want to be in units of at least 3 but GW are Jews and sell them only in boxes of 2. The veletaris Sentinels also would probably prefer to stick to calivers since they don't want to be close enough to use their flamers.

Always take max unit size on your command sections, your commanders need as many ablative wounds as they can get.

The lasrifles should always be run with vexila and vox but otherwise be naked, any other upgrades are purely for fun.

The baneblade is based. No notes there.

Brodie helmets and shotguns would suggest they're American. Webley revolvers were not officially adopted by the US, but officers could pick weapons to their liking. Grenades could be battlefield loot.
