why do metroidvanias insist on making the map difficult to parse?
just let me mark things or draw notes on the map myself, show me where I am on the map, update it automatically etc
I really don't get the logic in making a genre that revolves around exploration stifle the process of exploring

going off the stream, the game still seems comically easy
it still seems kinda fun, but idk how long the appeal of smashing things can last. it just seems to satisfy a human desire to dig and collect gems, I guess

Do you guys like ARPGs like Diablo 2 and POE? I just can't get into them.
