i take fat hogs to be butchered every year. to have the meat cut and wrapped in paper is $0.59/lb wrapped in paper and $0.89 vacuumed sealed, and thats dressed weight (after butcher/wrapping). plus their is a $35 kill fee/govt tax. i pay about $140/hog for butchering. curing the meat cost more but i do it myself. picrel is my homemade salo, i even grew the dill, garlic and pepper flakes
