Some people are simply too reliant on traditions and routine. They can't break out of what they've always done because it brings them a form of comfort. Others see how they act and imitate it in an attempt to fit in, beginning the cycle anew. The best thing to be better in a visible way. Be kind, support others who are kind by replying to them, and following the ancient wisdom of not feeding the trolls. If enough people do this then the board will improve. But it is a hard task that requires long term effort and patience, so if you truly seek to make change you need to have conviction to be strong enough to persist. Making the world a better place is never easy.
