Is Orphie really core for SAnby? Aren't they different elements?

retatd here, if I go for a 50/50 and lose in the current banner (say Yanagi) and when it changes to the next characters, will my next S rank be the focus character? is it restricted to only the rerun banner? or will it reset and it'll be a 50/50 again?
