They were pretty neat and their comics/story/cinematics were much better than the Randomly Placed Temple's copy-pasted I'm the last of X, sad music plays, massacred during the Hollow explosion, ended up with the disciples and basically zero visual flair beyond a quick and cheap firework display.

I dislike Cthulhu's design (it's fucking nothing... like come the fuck on) but I checked out one of the leaked gameplay vids and it looks like she has the Monster Hunter hammer moveset. If they genuinely stick with that, she's a must-pull as a hammer main. Unless she's terribly and unrecoverably shit as a character (in the story, voices, etc.).
The Faust has really neat animations of summoning in demons from necronomicon, basically TFH's notPurplesmart. And she doesn't look like utter shit unlike the other lass.

alice is physical miyabi but less interesting mechanically and even less effort to play
are their designs good? they're ok. certainly better than the upcoming characters, but not amazing. definitely nowhere near the heights of 1.x characters like ellen and jane

Genuinely speaking why would I want to invest a ton of money into getting characters w-engines/dupes when the only endgame thing you really "need" to do is eventually get 6 stars in deadly assault to fill out your inter-knot quest thing. Getting B ranks in all the defence notes each reset is enough and you can power through the weekly "dungion" with auto-levelled characters. Going above those is just slamming your head against the wall for what, more pulls to get w-engines and dupes you really dont need? I've been playing every day doing the bare minimum and I have every character in the game, the only w-engine I've pulled for is Miyabi because its actually broken.

It's crazy how season 1 had constant throughlines to keep everything tied together and feel like it was moving forward. From the demolition, to Peralman pursuit, to head off at Bringer and have everybody show up.
Everything after has just been a villian of the week with full character arcs completely resolved as an aside to a story that has no clear through line now. Hell, even the Mockingbird bit felt like character stories just shoved into the main plot with the only big part being Lycaon letting the mayor hook you up with your favored brand of contacts.

ZZZ got zero problem like this during launch, Even Ellen's got zero story relevant arc for her despite exist as launch banner character.

Most defenders you basically treat as a shitty support. Ben is the exception and you want to treat him as a shitty attacker. The disc I've slapped on aren't the best by a mile, but a general outline for how people wind up building him. Really I just like the sound he makes when you hit the parries and the different parry confirm follow up attacks you get. Just feels a lot tighter and more satisfying than something like Yixuan's infinite iframe follow-up. You also tend to avoid the last hit in his attack string and cancel out via dash attacks to reset due to it taking to much time.

Also you probably have to be the sort to want to fuck Ben to go this far with him. Definitely straight D-tier as a support, and maybe C-tier as an attacker.

Anyone bought the Anby figgie? She seems nice. I wasn't sure Apex would do a good work, but I might just get Nicole once she releases this september

I was in the same position as you. S11 and Burnice was all my fire DPS and also I didn't pull the rat. I also had my doubts because I was interested in Seed+Orphie for my Trigger with weapon, but I pulled her and now I have no regrets.
