The actual plot is that a billionaire is developing a tech to transfer peoples' minds into robot bodies
Currently the procedure only works on children (something something neuroplasticity) so they're beta testing it on a group of six terminally ill kids
Notably every robot body is the same race, gender and general appearance as its originator

A major goal of the project is to figure out how to make it work on adults so the billionaires can all become immortal superpowered gods
