I think the issue comes down to the asinine pricing and what you're getting with said pricing.
18 bucks would get you a full set in the past, it is a stupid price, yes, yet you got a full set of attire.
Now in this line-up, 18 bucks gets you a only 3 pieces out of the 5, the price should be lowered to 12, it won't have gone lower since corpo greed yadeyade but some logic would've dictated that price.
Instead it's a full price for a non-full set that has an identical copy of it with different pants as well as splitting small pieces, namely the hands and gloves, into a massive 6 buck figure despite that money being able to get you a lot better items in the store, like for instance the Gigas Sword, some of the Heavensward Knights items and, if memory serves, the Legacy Warrior armour which is pure peak, especially with the Crystarium Greaves and Gloves.
Following sanity, the gloves and hat should've been 3 bucks and the separate sets should've been 7 to incentivise purchases, at least my current train of thought thinks so.
Or if they were adamant about the 6 dollar figure for the hat and gloves, the other half-made sets should've been 12 to round one of them with the 6 figure to a full set's 18.
It's stupid no matter how you slice it and if you buy it you are just goobheaded.
It doesn't help that the pieces don't really look good either or have details that ruin pieces that could've otherwise fit the game nicely.
