They're raised from basically birth to be far stronger, far better trained, far more loyal and devoted than a regular SEAF grunt, as well as being trusted with an honestly ridiculous arsenal of weaponry.
The issue is that people either try to make Helldivers out to be fucking Space Marines or Guardsman, when there's already a perfect "best of the worst" middleground that Helldivers fall into. Helldivers just look silly and stupid because the whole game is a super satire and doesn't take itself seriously.

Helldivers aren't normal guys, they're the best of the worst, outfitted with ludicrous weaponry, training, and indoctrination that put things like regular SEAF soldiers to shame despite not being anywhere near a proper super soldier.
Helldivers aren't Guardsman or Space Marines, They're Tempestus.
