No, christians killed ancestor worship completely. All religion used to be ancestor worship. Odin and Thor were Nordic kings too, once. Their burial mounds are in Uppsala, Sweden. When they died they became gods because of their great deeds in life. That is Nordic religion.
That is why instinctually people feel a mystical adoration, worship or fear of Hitler too, Nordics and Germanics subconsciously recognize he was a man of that caliber, and has passed into deity status. Just watch how the people here fear his name spoken aloud, or worship his name, or how Germans will begin crying of happinesswhen they see a movie actor dressed as Hitler come to them in public. Ancestor deities are much more connected to people here subconsciously than a foreigner like Jesus. But in conscious tradition it is forgotten.
