Making a full song is hard. I write lyrics for the entire thing. Then I have to add chords that fit the feeling, record myself playing the guitar parts properly, clean them up even after playing pretty well. Add bassline, drums, counter melodies. Add a main melody that fits the lyrics. Then I have to tune Miku to sing it properly. Once I got all the musical elements I have to gauge the db levels of all the different instruments, pan them, apply effects to make them fit together and sound good. It's going to take time.
It's why I have been making shorter stuff lately to test things out quickly instead of making longer music so I get shorter feedback time as to how it will sound like in a close to finished format.
It's similar to drawing kinda, it's easy to do sketches all day, but doing a whole complete painting takes time. I know some people have spent 100+ hours on a single track, I really want to avoid doing that.
