The thing is that showing Denji as something more than a traumatized, suicidal, apathetic and useless coomer piece of shit after killing Nayuta would be a disrespect to Nayuta, so that is understandable from a writing point of view. The core problem here in part2 plot was killing Nayuta.
It has an easy solution tho, revive Nayuta.
