Would you prefer the word "pursue" then? Glad we've arrived at the pure semantics phase of this discussion, that's always my favorite part of pointless internet debates. I sadly have to leave so this'll be my last post for a while, so I'll get to the point and leave it at that:

If Olan didn't feel the need to turn his back on this and put his life on the line, I can't see Ramza turning his back at that point as anything more than character regression. Given his declaration in Chapter 2 that he wouldn't run away anymore, when offered to return to Igros and stop sticking his nose where it doesn't belong. But him refusing to speak with Olan and bailing at the end of the game is supposed to make sense to me? Retarded.

You see, beyond quibbling over small details, my real concern is themes and character consistency. This inane back and forth has no value because instead of talking about how any of this fits the overarching plot we're beating off some dumb hypothetical that dances around the real issue, which is that Ramza's story deserves to end on a less wishy washy note and dragging it out into a sequel would only muddy it further

He's saying that Orlandu is an overpowered as fuck unit that trivializes all battles in the late game. But I think the late game is trivial even without Holy Swordskill and Night Sword, braindead powerful though they are
