Yeah. I have SSI because ive been disabled since birth and I had basically no assistance from family members. Struggled really hard in school and was one of a few people to get academic honors and technical honors at the same time. After that I got a full ride for college and I fucked it all up because my parents were completely adamant that my health was not getting worse despite doctors saying otherwise. Also never had anyone teach me how to drive so I was stuck living at friends places and surviving until I could get SSI for the medical insurance. Now I live with some friends and get like 600 a month because my friends "provide shelter" for me. I don't really have a plan past this point. Ironically i'm dating someone rn that's in college and she's pretty infatuated with me and has mentioned getting married, but i'd end up losing my medical coverage if we did that because she makes too much money part time and her income would disqualify me from my insurance lol. She's joked about her just being a career woman and making enough money that she would just pay for my medical but i'd be basically guaranteeing that i'm 100% reliant on her, I guess its not much different than being reliant on the insurance like I am now, but I don't really see a way out of my situation.
