I can't tell if it happens to me more than average, but my problem is that I don't want to be rude and just blow them off, so I get trapped in these conversations with them, and this happens too much. Like I'll usually just see what they're all about for a bit, but then they accidentally end up thinking I'm fun and it just makes it more awkward to leave
