the biggest problem is that MG have become stagnant. still simple clamshell innerframe construction, no layered innerframe compared to contemporary RGs and PGs, poor parts/color separation.

the MGEX Strike Freedom should be like the standard for the layered innerframe construction for new MGs but MGs are still simple shit, right now, RG RX 78-2 has more parts count than your average modern MG
snapshitted the fat cat 1/100 RG RX-78-2

some parts make sense in 1/144, but doesn't make sense in 1/100 since it was just a blown up RG, the arm and thigh connectors are too tight since it was just intended for 1/144 size. however, it feels more complicated build than the usual MG, which is actually disgusting for Bandai for ruining the MG line.

it feels like the fat cat has more parts compared to the MG 2.0. and the multi innerframe, multi parts separated armor makes more sense here compared from the MG 3.0

the bending core fighter gimmick to introduce ab crunch to the gundam is useless since it still has a t shape torso.

as for weapons, it has 2 bazookas, beam javelin, super napalm, 1 straight beam saber, 1 curved beam saber, a gundam hammer and hyper hammer, which is actually surprising, the chain is metal instead of the plastic chain bandai uses.

would definitely like Bandai to have this kind of standard for its MG in the future instead of making less complicated for the sake of making it cheap
