/fit/k/ here. I carry a little .380 pocket pistol most places I go. Most people like to go bigger, but I've never needed it. It's better than nothing, and most people aren't going to want to continue harassing you after a couple holes in themselves, or one of their buddies anyway. It's like wearing nothing at all too.
