You now remember when Israel attempted to bomb Mexico's Capitol Building right after 9/11
The Mexican Legislative Assembly Palace Attack began around 5pm on October 10th, 2001 when a pair of armed Israelis, Saar Noam Ben Zvi and Salvador Gersson Smeck both carrying fake Pakistani passports were arrested in the Mexican Legislative assembly with large amounts of ammunition, multiple firearms, and hundreds of lbs of explosives. The attack was widely (but briefly) reported on Mexican TV and in local and national newspapers. It was reported by Pravda a Russian state funded Propaganda outlet similar to Voice of America on 13 October 2001 but appears to have been subject to a news blackout by Western media.
The Israelis were eventually released after enormous pressure from the Israeli Embassy

Very high level emergency meetings took place between Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Jorge Gutman, General Macedo de la Concha and a top Ariel Sharon envoy who flew to Mexico City specially for that purpose. Elías Luf of the Israeli Embassy worked night and day and their official spokeswoman Hila Engelhart went into high gear after many hours of complete silence. What went one during those high levels meetings no ones knows, but many in Mexico are in disbelief at their release.
The only archives that still exist are Mexican news media archives as it was widely reported on in Mexican news at least for a few days before it to suddenly disappeared from their media.
