i actually liked quite a few of the canto 8 dungeon fights. cinematic fights can be fun when they're designed to prove a point or something but nothing feels worse in games than winning = losing. winning every clash with lei heng and then getting smacked by a giant unbreakable aoe move feels like shit. even if you play the fight right and nerf him into the ground with chains and such then he's an absolute pushover. even envy pecca seemed cool at first until they jacked up their numbers on everything and overused them.
there really is no winning because of the games design. they just need to make a normal/hard mode for story like nikke so the "real" versions of the fights can be met there
