Americans aren't Anglos. They don't look (picrel), sound, think, feel, or behave like Anglos. They have their own values, their own preferences, their own way of life, etc. While 1700s America was definitely English and can be claimed by England, 1800s America and onward are decidedly and empirically Ex-English.
