the use case isn't irrelevant then, it's none. could have saved a lot of asshattery by just saying you don't have a use case. anon was just trying to see if you could do what you want without "unactivating" windows.
just go ahead and reinstall and, if you activated windows with a OEM then it's attached to your hardware and I'm not aware of a way to "unactivate" that. windows will always be activated.
