Devs directly said the point of this game is "no males" and "every girl is for you"
It was created in response to every other gacha game on the market being "every character you roll is a hundred males every time" and "none of the girls are for you, they're all shipped to other characters". If you've played any other gacha game, it's all shipping, yurifags, and homo posting. BA wanted to cater to the self insert market only.

Blue Archive when it was created, the devs said there was one thing they wanted above all else, "no males". It's the most important thing the devs wanted.
This avoided any shipping or cuckposting drama big time. That's a big reason it's a very self insert heavy franchise because it avoided having thousands of doujinshi of all the girls fucking NPC men like every other gacha game has.

Dogs aren't real men, neither are robots, they're just props in this scenario. The NPC characters are entirely replaceable. The only students are girls, and they're the only real characters in the story.
