My theory for this is Bloodborne is by far the easiest souls game of them all and /v/ is super bad at video games, so of the minority of players who played all the games they liked it the most because nothing really walled them hard.

Aesthetic is a fair argument too, you can't really say "you're wrong for thinking Victorian werewolf hunter is cooler than dark fantasy" but that's a totally preferential thing.
