I've been thinking about this for a while on how 40k still doesn't have a lot of fictions equivalent to it's fantasy countparts and how to go about adding them to 40k or vice versa.
I came up with an idea on how to add Skaven and Lizard men to 40k and the most I came up with (which I will toot my own horn and say I think it's a swell idea) is essentially combining the two races together. Skaven lore says that they are great as scheming and espionage while also being back stabbers, and Lizard Men worship a bunch of weird gods and magic while having a strict cast system. So combine the two and you get glow nigger, /pol/ conspiracy theory, race of lizard people that disguise themselves as whatever to infiltrate their enemies from the inside while building massive cult cities underground where they eventually rise up and strike.
