Fun fact: the British used both chinks and jeet slaves in their colonies (e.g., Southeast Asia), but they tried to keep the number of chinks to the bare minimum needed for jobs jeets can't do, for instance mining because jeets are too physically weak. The Brits knew chinks would rebel if conditions allowed it, whereas the docile natural-born slave jeets, while utterly incompetent, were considered safe and useful enough in sheer numbers for menial jobs like palm oil plantations.
