Something I'd further add is that Rodrigue was campaign manager on Dimitri's re-election bid until getting killed as collateral in Fleche's assassination attempt on Dimitri.

That was my exact idea after I couldn't think of a position to put him in. That or he'd write exposes on how much of a maniac Dimitri was in Iraq or Afghanistan and be a regular talking head on news programs.
