I wonder if anyone has tried playing the games in Timeline chronological order

If its true that this timeline exist due to the Lore Team being unable to add games due to conflicts, how would you fix the individual missing games? How do you retcon Knuckles Chaotix, Sonic Triple Trouble, Drift 2, and Sonic the Fighters to fix the Metal Sonic problem? Also, Sonic Advance 1 & Pocket Adventure.
