many such cases. this isn't even a 'boy vs girl' or 'right vs left' thing, it's just retarded (or intentionally malicious private equity) corpo idiots desperately chasing demographics outside of the property's purview, while at the same time, neglecting their original install base.
right now we have cracker barrel changing their logo, but also renovating the interior of their old timey nostalgia-based restaurant to be a stark sterile white to appeal to more people, and at the same time, alienating their original customers (but i think that's more in the 'malicious' category than the stupid one).
disney is just stupid
