V is permanently stuck in 2021, after the disaster of Shadowlands, and has been completely unable to accept WOW isn't still the way it was back during that period. They latched onto FFXIV out of spite and now have severe sunk cost into this game. They brought with them the same cultist thinking they had as WOW players, amd have made FFXIV and its creator Yoshi P their religion and God. Endwalker and Dawntrail being dogshit (after they got into this game during ShB) mindbroke them, they just found an alternative to WoW and ot immediately goes to shit in only a single expansion. But they can't admit they made a mistake in investing in FFXIV. They can't admit WOW won the long game. They have to keep pretending FFXIV is still good, that WoW is still the same state as it was during Shadowlands.
V will probably never go back to being a WOW board no matter how much WOW improves, and even as FFXIV dies they'll they'll stay latched onto it till the bitter end, rather than admit they were wrong and got duped by ecelebs who were paid to shill FFXIV during 2021 (who all ended up going back to WOW anyway)
