Character motivations, when they exist, are silly to the point that Barney might be more stimulating than this shit. Even if you enjoy "an ancient evil awakens" storylines, it's so straightforward and the characters are such caricatures that it might as well not be there. Chrono Cross has more charming characters than this shit and 90% of the characters in CC are paper thin.
