I honestly have no idea yet how it'll play out. Mostly because demon shenanigans make it really difficult. Even if you know generally how it'll play out, the demon or LU can force the siblings into some weird scenarios.
I personally believe that at the end of chapter 2, Andrew has fully killed the Andy persona. The eye on his hand is obviously connected to that. but whether its LU reconnecting with him, or fully transitioning into a tar soul, idk.
In the cliffhanger ending, Andrew says killing his parents was his own death. Andy is the personification of "the good son". The reason he acts so differently in decay despite killing them all the same was because it wasn't on his own terms. He resents ashley for killing Andy, the way he sees it.
It's really exhilarating to see how happy he is just being Andrew. He's a real cute guy. He writes a poem for Ashley, something he's deeply passionate about, picks at Ashleys brain incessantly, Jokes around, and speaks with more sarcastic gravitas. It actually helps me understand why I relate to him so much.
Ashley feeling so awful, especially in the questionable route, is not just because Andy is dead, or even because she doesn't think she can trust Andrew, it's because Andrew is completely unpredictable. He's poised and grown.
During the Burial Sane vision, she has to confront that a lot of her feelings on Andrew are her own fault, and during the questionable vision, she doubles down on her antics, thereby making her feel even worse than she did before.
Conversely, Andrew seeing that vision, even if he denies it, actually reaffirms his own identity. He knows his lust isn't pathological, like he says in decay. He seems to love ashley so purely.
I think Ashley will become almost intolerable in questionable, and put Andrews love to the test. It will get worse before it gets better
And in sane, they may lead a happy life together, but I trust nemlei to make it appealingly sad. I think they'll break up, or move on.
