Not to mention a lot of those men I posted made reference themselves.

I think you just have this idea that the Church that canonized the Bible somehow doesn't use the Bible. You can walk into a Divine Liturgy at your local Orthodox Church anytime and see that our liturgical text is like 80% just direct quotes from the Holy Scriptures.
