the levitating guns (desu i hated the idea of guns as 'temporary power-ups' mechanic that was present early into development) feels like a modern california-esque 'we don't want to encourage gun usage so we will divorce the concept through a fantastical element'.
However, it's very important for a vampire to be strapped, should they encounter a scenario in which they cannot use their vampiric powers, and need to deal with hostile threats in a socially palatable way (see: masquerade violation)
