Unironically a genius idea. I had never thought about it, but we players couldn't care less about encountering two Myriams in WoW. And yes, if it's for an “administrative” reason, such as if one is reported, the other shouldn't be affected, all you need to do is assign a unique number to each character (a bit like a social security number) that only GMs (bots) can see.
