Depends of what the combat is about but I like it when mastery is involved. It can be the mastery of the enemy's patterns, your own character combos, your stamina management, your actual inputs and so on. Even better when many of them are involved in a battle system. Also like it when the game makes it feel good.
Basically most well known action japanese games (not gachas of course).
It'll be hard to have a gacha with this game design if devs still cater to mobile players unless they incite them to use an actual controller. Which might actually happen considering how many controllers chinks shit out that are phone holder compatible.
