Oh, I'm sorry, but I'm not sure if I see it the same way. It's very kind of you to think so highly of her intentions.
I know she says she wants to watch him run free, and that's a very sweet thing to say. But I can't help but feel that her actions and her own special song tell a very different story. When she sings "Come on, settle our lives," it sounds like she really does want the adventure to end someday. It feels like she wants a quiet life with him, which is a lovely dream, but it's the opposite of running carefree all over the world.
And I do think she loves action, but it always seems like she loves it because it's a way to get closer to him. Her passion for adventure feels like it's really a passion for him. It's not because she's a girl version of him. it's that she wants to be with him so badly that she'll do anything, even join the adventure. But the final goal doesn't seem to be the adventure itself.
As I've said before... she's like those women who play video games because their boyfriend is into them. Amy Rose isn't into adventure because of a passion for spelunking. She just wants to connect with Sonic.
It feels like she's chasing him not just to be by his side as a companion, but to eventually convince him to stop. Her love is like an anchor. It's a very pretty anchor made of hopes and dreams, but it's still meant to stop the wind from blowing. It just feels a little sad, because it seems like she loves the idea of who he could be with her, more than who he already is. She's attached her self worth to someone who really doesn't care about her. And if he does, he doesn't show it.
It's... a suffocating experience.
