Battle Network 2
>Hated BN1
>Wonder if BN fans are like Sonic fans in calling bad games "pretty good" but decide to give BN2 a try anyway
>The internet design is actually coherent and fun to explore
>Encounter Rate isn't 95% like the first game, I can actually explore the dungeons and be interrupted every other step
>A dedicated Escape button (that seems to never work but I can appreciate having one)
>Subchips that can do things like lower the encounter rate too or heal
>Can choose your favorite chip to always show up in battle
>Can have multiple folders of chips
>New chip styles that add to the gameplay
>Health actually stays down after battles which means I have to use actual strategy instead of braindead mashing each non boss battle in BN1
>It's actually fucking FUN
Holy shit I can't remember the last time I played a sequel that had such an insane quality jump from the previous entry.
Forgive me Battle Network fans, I mocked you but you were right. This shit IS good!

Please read my cool blog and discuss your own
>Be OP
>Be gay
>Be 8 years old
> walk into gamestop with parents, i'm allowed to pick out a GBA game for some reason
> See Megaman Battle network 2 and 3
>read back of box of Megaman 2
> think Lan on the box art is really cool
>by this point, I had already watched my brother play Megaman 64, think Lan is somehow related to no helmet megaman
>go to buy MMBN2
> Gamestop employee tells me to buy 3
> whine and say but I want to play as Lan ( I think he's not in the game as only megaman is on the box for BN3)
>he says you can play in Lan in 3
>parents say I want 2
> they are the same price
>he insists on 3 and we get it ( I don't know why he gave a fuck what I bought)
>disappointed whole car ride back
>it's an amazing game and I play as Lan
>never see BN2 again as a kid
>see BN3 fucking everywhere for cheap a year or so later and regret not picking it up when I saw it
It's weird how vivid this memory is for me. Anyone else have weirdly vivid memories of vidya as a child?
