> it's just what people have chosen to believe, because most people are genuinely afraid of optimistic ideas and the idea that life could actually be better.
Every "democracy" in the world is just an oligarchy with extra steps.
"If the present growth trends in world population, industrialization, pollution, food production, and resource depletion continue unchanged, the limits to growth on this planet will be reached sometime within the next one hundred years. The most probable result will be a rather sudden and uncontrollable decline in both population and industrial capacity." (from "The Limits to Growth" study conclusions).
This means, there will be no cyborgs, space travel, or futuristic augmentations, because the resources will eventually become too hard to get. We already used all good sand in this world, good sand used in industry literally is gone, there is none.
Depopulation is so rampant, South Korea is going to extinct in your lifetime. Japan is next. Nobody can't afford to have kids anymore.
We, as humanity, moving rapidly towards ecological apocalypse. World's glaciers melting faster than ever recorded. Climate change is inevitable, and world billionaires know that. This is why they build bunkers for themselves. They know what's going to happen in the next, idk, 25 years tops?
So pray tell, how life could actually be better?
