But they can and do make "drains your HP even through shields" content because you can pray to outshield all damage, or to just heal.
Thus healers will always have a place by design, shielders will not.

Probably. I heard someone say events can put up some challenging things, presumably like FGO does. I suspect mandatory story content will remain relatively chill (no Cerunnos level bullshit).
They've improved the combat overall with 1More being just free bonus actions outside the turn order (not a bonus turn which consumes resources like SP), added a soft out-of-turn thing like ults in HSR, and All Out Attacks are also just a bonus action type of thing.
There have been a handful of fights now where enemies have gimmicks like getting buffed if you perform the wrong actions, being invulnerable and losing HP only via summoned adds dying.
It gives me a positive outlook on the game's promise.
Much in the way HSR has done a pretty solid job so far adding similar gimmicks and strategic elements to the game.
