I remember connecting my PSP to my PS3 through adhocParty and playing 012 with another anon across the ocean. And then later that xKai thing via a convoluted PSP to PC setup. Still boot it up on my Vita every once in a while. I think NT wasn't necessarily the worst thing ever, but the way they handled it was abysmal. Doesn't help that a pathetic gacha existed and that's how the series dies. I miss Dissidia so much, bros. The deluxe editions where incredible, Dissidia was fanservice done in the best possible way. The last hidden cutscene with Cosmos saying goodbye to classic FF heroes guts me every time.

It's a complete dev hell mess. Tabata took whatever little progress Nomura made with Versus and shoved in Type-0 combat and condensed a trilogy of games into one product just to please Squeenix chairmen. Worst part, the scam worked, it sold like hotcakes. Nobody apparently cared the game was blatantly rushed and unfinished (and still is after literal years of updates and DLC). It is criminal nobody seems to realise Tabata is a complete hack because who the fuck would want to play Type-0 and realise this is the same game only slightly obfuscated.

Noctis and Ignis deserve a better game. And it's going to be Verum Rex.
