I don't know what I'd have to be upset about, I was able to create a really nice piece of artwork because of the original op, so I'm thankful they posted at all.

Of course you're clearly a very skilled and accomplished artist with a portfolio of significant talent and worth, so I think you should demonstrate that you're better than me and everybody else in that thread and pyw :3c

Mite as well post this here since it's about to evaporate into my harddrive somewhere.

Fuck me, if I'd known that the totality of my art ability would have been judged exclusively on one shitty sketch I would have spent more time on it :')

I just didn't have the stamina for it. Being a successful nsfw artist, as in having it pay your bills, is actually a lot harder than people make it out to be. That necessity to being constantly online is quite draining as well. I have a lot of respect for artists who can stick at it long-term.

>and honestly you did word it kinda meanly even if it wasnt OP's art you seemed to think so, you have to understand that when you talk about someone's art you're handling a piece of their soul

yh, rereading it I can't help but agree. Wasn't intentional, but intent doesn't matter if the outcome is the same anyway

Anyway op, if you're still here, I reiterate that you're already better than the majority of the board, and certainly way better than I was when I first started posting here. If I had any real advice for you that goes beyond technical skill it's that I try to keep a story in my head whenever I draw. I like to think about what my character would be saying to the viewer. I always feel that having an actual story to latch onto helps me produce a better work.
